What does it actually mean to be Kind?
For me and practice at the Silver Lining Collective, Kindness is demonstrated by Acts of...Understanding, Empathy, Compassion, Tolerance and Generosity.
What is life without Connection? Connection to other beings - human, animal, spiritual - to the environment, to the universe. The power of connection should never be underestimated.
At the Silver Lining Collective, all our offerings are grounded in this knowledge - that a kind and authentic interaction with another person is so powerful in making change, growth and healing.

How could the Silver Lining Collective not hold a value of Optimism?!
This isn’t the cliche, seeing life events through rose-coloured glasses or doesn’t diminish struggle, trauma or challenges. But rather working towards seeing some light in even the darkest of situations.
A learning. An opportunity. Growth. Healing. Change.
Have you seen a Silver Lining today?
Sascha has worked as a clinical psychologist for 20 years. The key focus of Sascha's work across her career to date has been supporting families in one way or another. This has included individual therapeutic work with adults, individual therapy with children and young people, and family-centered therapeutic interventions that provide support for kids, parents and extended family members.
Sascha has practiced in a diverse range of settings so that she has experience working with people from many walks of life and has a strong personal and professional interest in Australian Aboriginal culture. She has worked extensively with Aboriginal Health Services, together with government departments and private clinics.
Sascha's practice is underpinned by an understanding of the biology of the brain and the body, and attachment theory (that highlights the critical importance and influence of our early relationships on future relationships, how we manage emotions and wellbeing generally), enabling a holistic approach to the support she offers her clients.
Key therapeutic approaches that inform Sascha's mentorship include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, interpersonal neurobiology and family therapy.
In addition to clinical practise, Dr Sascha has provided supervision, mentorship and training for many practitioners for over 15 years.
In addition to formal supervision experience and qualifications,
Sascha's supervisory approach is informed by her work experience across a diverse range of practice environments including: NGOs (primarily Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services), private practice, EAP provider, Health and Child Protection departments and private organizations. This experience has given Sascha significant knowledge of working with adults, children, adolescents and families.
Sascha has lived and worked in rural and remote locations so understands the additional challenges that practitioners working in similar locations can encounter. Sascha has a particular interest in working with individuals and families with complex histories and needs - fundamentally informed by neuroscience and attachment theory.
Sascha has extensive experience working within and with multi-disciplinary teams as they aim to support child, parent and family wellbeing. This means that she can provide practical supervisory guidance for staff working in similar settings, including psychologists, social workers, allied health therapists, case managers and GPs.
Sascha works from a systems perspective so is able to support practice within a case management framework in addition to discipline-specific clinical supervision.
